Today, I had the pleasure of leaving Cookeville to deliver Baby Lila's gallery at her home in Carthage, TN. Gallery delivery is one of my favorite, and most nerve-racking, parts of my job. I'm always so excited to show the family the beautiful images of their new baby, and see their faces as they look through their newborn gallery. I'm also really, really nervous each time that they may not think the images are as beautiful as I do! Thankfully, I haven't had that experience yet!
Baby Lila was a dream during her in-home newborn session two weeks ago. She was asleep when I arrived, and I got to know her adorable big brother while I was setting up for our session. He was very excited about everything that was happening and had a ton of questions for me! Sweet Lila slept through her entire session without making a peep. We stopped once for her to fill up her belly, and then we were right back to it! Big brother was very attentive to every sound Lila made during our session, and was right there any time she moaned or whimpered to make sure she was taken care of. He's really going to rock this whole big brother thing! Lila was amazing, and I was so excited that big brother was going to get in on the pictures action as well. After finishing up all of the solo newborn poses, it was time for big brother to get into a few. What he was so excited to do upon my arrival, suddenly became a chore after our very first sibling photo 😂
Although he was completely over me taking his picture, he decided to humor me, and let me get a few more shots of him with his brand new baby sister. They were beautiful!

One of the best parts of our session was getting to chat with big brother while I was packing up. He was so smart and funny, and I was a bit sad to leave!
Today, when I delivered Baby Lila's gallery, I got to feel that amazing feeling of joy while her mommy looked through the gallery. Sweet Lila wasn't too happy this afternoon, so I got the opportunity to snuggle her for a while so mom could choose her favorites. I won't lie, I have a bit of baby fever, and getting to hold these sweet little ones always helps with that (at least a little bit!). Lila decided to take a little nap, and mom and I got to finalize their gallery order.
I love being able to visit families again for our gallery viewing. Seeing how much babies grow in that short amount of time always amazes me! I'm so happy this job allows me to meet new people, and I hope to work with Baby Lila and her amazing family again in the future. Below are some of the beautiful images from her session.
